ACCREDITATION

German Section Federal-state inspection (BLI 3.0) for re-accreditation of the German Section

In the period from 20 November 2023 to 24 November 2023, the Bund-Länder-Inspektion (BLI 3.0, in a 6-year cycle) took place in the German Section. We were visited by three inspectors who used various tools such as surveys, interviews, rating conferences and document analyses to gain an impression of the school section. In the end, in addition to assessment of the status of our school work, the school also wanted to be re-accredited as an excellent German school abroad. Detailed feedback has given the school a very good overview of our work, but has also shown some potential for development in one or two areas. The German Section of TES has once again been awarded the “Excellent German School Abroad" seal of approval, and the school has been certified as doing good to very good work in almost all areas. International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) The Taipei European School was successfully authorised to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) on 26 April 2024. This is our third IB programme that enables us as an IB World School to provide a continuum of education right through secondary school. International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) TES hosted official IB DP workshops on its campus on 17-18 May 2024. Teachers from schools across the Asia-Pacific attended these workshops. International Baccalaureate (IB) Career-related Programme TES has been selected to host the IB CP Regional Network meeting on 13-14 September 2024 for CP Coordinators across the Asia Pacific region. The School is pleased to announce that we have a new partner for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Career related Programme (CP): Les Roches in Switzerland. We are now able to offer a two-year hospitality programme with university credit. Les Roches has been involved in the IB CP since 2014, and they now have an online programme, so we have an experienced and trusted partner.
