The German Section sees itself as a forum for encounters and exchanges between German-speaking countries. In this context, events relating to Austria and Switzerland are to be given special emphasis. An Austrian duo, Michaela & Jimmy, gave a concert at the primary school, bringing Austrian culture and music. Author Jimmy Brainless, who lives biculturally and feels at home in Austria and Taiwan, gave a reading from his novel which is about life in and between two cultures and includes reflections on superstitions and customs bridging Austria and Taiwan. The visit of the Austrian representative brought the current Austrian literature to the library.

In secondary school, the theatre group worked on and performed Friedrich Dürrenmatt's play ‘Romulus the Great’. They worked on the play since September and performed it twice in April.

British Secondary and High School Section Our links with Tribal schools have been developing in recent years, and were further strengthened this year with residential trips to Leo Fu Junior High School, Daton Elementary School, and for the first time this year to the Vox Nativa school in Nantou. Students took part in cultural exchange activities which were extremely valuable to all sets of students. Learning about local culture is incredibly important. The BSHS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Professional Learning Community (DEI PLC) has taken meaningful steps this year to advance inclusion and equity across the school. In alignment with the whole-school DEI initiative, we launched a curriculum review process in collaboration with Year Deans through the Core program, ensuring diverse perspectives are embedded meaningfully in student learning. We have actively advocated for all students' needs and provided support in responding to incidents by supporting restorative conversations and pushing for structural improvements. To better understand the current DEI climate, we implemented a whole-section survey, the findings of which will guide future actions. Throughout the year, we have also shared DEI resources to support staff and students, fostering a more informed and inclusive school environment.
