The competition gave students a chance to challenge themselves, learn from each other, and feel the excite ment of solving the cube under timed conditions. In the end, I came first with an average time of 12.34 seconds, and my best time was 12.19 seconds. Second place went to Aiden, and third place went to Ira. Overall, the event was a great beginning for the club, and we hope it will inspire more students to join future cubing activities. International Cubing Since I am actually from Australia and visit almost every year, I sometimes attend competitions there. My first competition in Australia was in 2024, and my most re cent one was in February this year. It was quite different from competing in Taiwan, in good ways. I personally enjoy competing, and people here in Taiwan, as well as the rest of the global cubing community, are supportive and welcoming to newcomers and fellow cubers. I real

ly like going to competitions for another reason: when ever you compete, you are often competing against yourself, always trying to get better times and solves. I currently rank around 60 in Clock in Taiwan, which mo tivates me to work harder and beat my personal bests. I was also very happy when I got to represent the school in the Taipei City Education Bureau 2025 Rubik’s Cube Competition, and I was very proud to watch students whom I had taught compete. Our Vision In the future, we hope to grow the club by welcoming new members and helping beginners build strong foun dations. We would also like to organise more events, competitions, and sharing opportunities in the school. Hopefully, we can also take part in more local and inter national cubing competitions so students can challenge themselves outside the classroom as well. As the club grows, we can create separate beginner and advanced groups. This would help beginners focus on learning the basic solving methods, while more ad vanced cubers could train more seriously for competi tions. But even if the club grows, the main idea should stay the same: student-led, supportive, and fun. In the end, we aim to inspire more students to discover the joy of cubing and see it as a creative way to learn, connect, and grow together.
