TES Annual Report
Primary Field Trips Whilst there were memorable trips across all sections, this year, from 19-24 May, ten students from CM2 and 6e embarked on an unforgettable adventure that blended science, ecology, and intercultural friendship. Onboard the sailing boat 'Good Hope,' they travelled from Tamsui to Kaohsiung, stopping in Taoyuan, Taichung, Penghu, and Tainan. With the support of the Taiwanese Coast Guards as well as various Taiwanese institutions and the French Office in Taipei, this project gave French and Taiwanese students the chance to share an intense and meaningful experience: sea water analysis, micro-waste sampling, experiments on wind energy, visits to local schools, creating collective artworks from marine plastic, learning traditional net fishing in Penghu, and even participating in the Kaohsiung French Festival. The students were honoured with a special welcome by Taiwan’s Prime Minister in Kaohsiung. Beyond environmental learning, this voyage strengthened cooperation, curiosity, and student engagement toward building a more united and sustainable world.
