TES Annual Report
Drama at the Secondary Campus The Drama CCA put on a number of shows, the first being a pantomime 'Every Pantomime That Ever Was (In Under Fifteen Minutes)', which was presented to the students of both campuses and at the Christmas Bazaar, it was very popular with the audiences. Also at the end of the second term there was a performance ‘A Monster Calls’, which tells the story of Conor, a young boy dealing with his mother’s illness, who is visited by a mysterious monster who shares three unusual stories. Conor begins to understand the complexities of grief, truth, and growing up through these encounters. The students did a superb job conveying these deep characters and relevant messages through their acting, which was enhanced through the audio-visual design.
